About Bethany

As a teenager, I struggled with injuries that made everyday movement—like climbing stairs—difficult, and threatened my dream of becoming a professional dancer. Traditional exercises and conditioning didn’t help, so I began studying anatomy at 18. I was captivated by the layers of the body, often bringing flashcards to the dog park, and discovered key insights that helped me heal and regain function.

This curiosity carried me into college, where I earned a degree in dance, and later into Pilates teaching, with a natural focus on working with injuries. Over time, I integrated anatomy teaching, movement-based rehabilitation, and orthopedic massage into my work, constantly refining my approach through classes, workshops, and hands-on experience.

I’ve always been drawn to working with pregnant and postpartum people. After my first birth, I experienced a significant labial tear and felt lost in figuring out how to support my own healing and rebuild strength. Motherhood reshaped my body and spirit, and I experimented, learned, and developed approaches that I eventually shared with clients, in workshops, and through Mama Moves Cards.

Now, my work blends many elements: movement, anatomy, rehabilitation, and curiosity. Some people need guidance simply to move and reconnect with their bodies; others need in-depth pelvic floor or core rehabilitation. I naturally weave anatomy into this process, helping people understand what’s happening in their body while sparking curiosity that drives healing, strength, and lasting change.
